Problem Nature
The construction of a memorial park honoring Lakota leaders.

Notes on Using Data
Students will work in teams. As much data as can be, will be stored on the school intranet system. Paper documents will be kept to a minimum.

Problem Statement
Your team will be developing a proposal to the tribe for the building of a memorial park to honor Lakota leaders and to promote tourism through the Oyate' Trail Association.

Students will be required to maintain an individual daily journal. Students will be using computer spreadsheet programs to orgainize and illustrate data and findings.

Students have a direct cultural connection to the project and I expect that they take this beyond the basic requirements.

Results Presentation
A formal written proposal to the tribe for the building of the park.

A scale model and scale drawings of the proposed park.

Teams will each develop a Power Point presentation to present the proposal to the tribal leaders.
